Eggs thrown at Chiranjeevi
Chiranjeevi who has been lauded for decades as a silver screen idol had a bitter experience yesterday in his road show. Unknown people threw three eggs at Chiranjeevi as he was addressing people and explaining about his party policies in the district of Warangal. Of the three eggs thrown at him, Chiru could escape from two but the third one hit him on his head.
However, Chiranjeevi did not express any anger on this incident and just smiled at the people who are alleged to have done this. This has further elevated his image in the public. After a few minutes he said
“Poola malalu vesina vallaku vandanam! Gudlu vesina vallau abhivandanam!”
(I respect the people who garlanded me and I salute the people who threw the eggs - approx translation 
)
This reminded people of the movie Shankar Dada Zindabad in which Chiru plays a role that advocates ‘Gandhi’ism and conveys a message never to lose your temper.
Probably Chiru realized that, unlike the film industry where every one loved him, politics will have some enemies also.
